Hong Kong Girl Guides Association
Since *1916, the **Hong Kong Girl Guides Association* has been providing quality training programmes to nurture girls and women to become *responsible citizens. The Association is one of the 140 member organisations of the **World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS)* and often sends representatives to take part in various international exchange activities. At present, *28 member countries* provide activities for children aged *4–6. In Hong Kong this junior section is known as “Happy Bee”
Meaning of “Happy Bee”
The *bee* is an insect that values *cooperation and order. Bees work together harmoniously, respect one another and show patience. These qualities are very important for young children in learning **good manners and moral character. At the same time, learning to live and work with others is an important part of the **socialisation process*, which helps to build a harmonious and orderly community.
Target Group
Pupils currently studying in the *Lower and Upper Classes* of *Chan Kwong Kindergarten. Under the guidance of the **Unit Leaders (teachers), activities are conducted in the form of **group gatherings, through which children learn together, try new things, and develop a spirit of **cooperation, caring and service
